According to the CDC, employers/employees participating in the cleanup of COVID-19 must be trained on the cleanup of bloodborne pathogens and proper use (donning/doffing) of PPE. Each of our environmental emergency employees are highly trained in the proper use of personal protective equipment (including full face respirators) and infection control. In addition, three members of our management team have previous healthcare experience in infection control in healthcare settings.
Our cleaning and disinfection methods are in accordance with the CDC guidance on Corona Virus cleaning procedures. We regularly consult this guidance for any updates on standards. Our team is In alignment with the CDC, each of our disinfectants are EPA registered and are considered hospital grade products. In addition, we utilize EPA-approved products with emerging viral pathogen claims.
For linens and items specified for laundry, MitiServe utilizes the Esporta Wash System. The system consists a 4 step wash cycle utilizing a concentrated hydrogen peroxide solution. In addition, the chamber is drained with each step, ensuring recontamination does not occur in the wash cycle.
